CELEBRATING 100 YEARS OF PHS

These are exciting times to be a current student, faculty member, or proud Perham High School Yellowjacket alum. We are in exciting transition at Perham High School as we close a chapter of 100 years in our old PHS facility and launch a new era of academics, arts and activities in our new state of the art Perham High School opening the fall of 2018.

As we transition, the 549 Family Foundation is proud to share a series of videos commemorating and celebrating 100 years of Perham High School. Here’s a preview of what’s to come!

THE EARLY YEARS

Who are our Perham High School pioneers and innovators? Who set the foundation for academic excellence and experience here in Perham, Minnesota? Let’s take a trip back in time and explore and acknowledge those who came before us in these hallowed hallways we call good old Perham High!

In an effort to celebrate 100 years of Perham High School history, the 549 Family Foundation proudly presents “Perham High School-The Early Years” hosted by PHS alum and Class of 2000, Cory Hepola from KARE 11 TV News.

THE MIDDLE YEARS

With a strong foundation laid in 1917, The Middle Years of Perham High School’s 100 Year history, the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s clear up to the 1970’s were filled with milestones of academic achievement, arts and activities. These were our formative years! New adventures came in an era loaded with significant events not only in Perham, but for Yellowjacket alum who would star and sacrifice on a world stage! Speaking of Yellowjackets, do you know where we got our official nickname? This was the era!

THE 1980'S TO 2017

Of all the eras to date that cover Perham High School’s 100 Years celebration…the 1980’s until today are considered by many to be the most innovative. Perham High School was a trendsetter when it came to ratcheting up academic opportunities, arts and student activities. All were bolstered by an administration and faculty keeping a keen eye on preparing our student body to strive and achieve bright futures. This would also be the last era of Yellowjackets who would call the existing Perham High School home.
