Our 9th grant for the 2019-20 school year has been approved! Students in fifth and sixth grades will soon have their hands on 3Doodler 3D Printing Pens.
Computer Applications teacher Susan Jones and Enrichment teacher De Kovash will be purchasing the new form of technology to add to their classes. They will be purchasing the Learning Pack that includes 12 pens, lesson plans, and pen refill filaments. The pens will be used in Makerspace units for every sixth grade student, as well as enrichment students in grades five and six.
Teachers and technology integrationists from other districts rave about these pens because they allow students to literally draw their imagination with the pens. The pens are yet another tool that introduces hands-on learning and encourages students to print and design in a concrete way.
We are proud to support teachers that continue to look for new ways to put different types of technology in the hands of our students. This tool is a great way for students to think about abstract designs and make them concrete in the way they draw their thoughts.
