Every year, the Kindergarten class gets to visit the Lubitz Farm just north of Perham. They get to experience how a dairy farm works, while also seeing animals. Farmers from around the area bring in some of their animals to see and hold.
This experience helps students understand farms more. There aren’t many farms left like the Lubitz Farm, so this is a unique visit for students.
As an added bonus, the American Dairy Council gives products to students as well. They receive ice cream and books. When they get back to class, they report on what they saw and learned.
